Working in Mauritius!

I have some very exciting news! You’ve probably already guessed by the title of this post but this time next week I’ll be at the airport in London getting ready to fly to Mauritius.

My primary role will be helping to film an instructional video for other communities that depend on sea life and the barrier reef and showing them other methods of interacting with their surroundings. I’ll be working with TAGSCAPE, a name some of you may of heard of. I’ve worked with them before but this will be our biggest job yet.

We’ll be interacting with the locals and fishing communities around Mauritius whilst filming them partaking in the project activities.

I’m extremely excited for this and I can’t wait to share lots of photos and videos with you all when I’m there. Be sure to keep updated by following my instagram: @detvix and by keeping an eye on this blog!

Also, be sure to keep an eye on the hashtag: #CoralCommunities as you’ll start to see more and more updates there over the next coming weeks.

I’ll be traveling with Truro College lecturer Andy Hughes and Dominica Williamson who leads the tagscape project.
